Adrift in time and ghosting through distance, Caliban is like the Flying Dutchman of dungeons. Seldom seen, even less visited, Caliban now wanders aimlessly, awaiting only the gods know what.
Hmmmm, room 154. That's either the "Flower People" game room or (I believe this) right next to it. I suppose I'll figure the history out when I see which side of the door the bathroom is on.
Hey, your Dundracon Caliban game sounds interesting and atmospheric! Any guidance on number/rarity of Magic items, races from Volo's guide, and such?
ReplyDeleteThus sayeth Joe... "I would restate follow Xanathar's Guide for magic items but know that this funhouse will give more items for the group to deliberate on so maybe choose wisely over how you use your attunement slots."
DeleteWhew...! I think anything is fine. Caliban is a Funhouse's Funhouse with a crap ton of magic items to be had anyway. My co-DM is the Volo-Master, so I'll run it by him for giggles, but he hath used Volo in my regular basic 5e game pretty extravagantly without any loss of excitement against the beasties. I say go with it. Worst case if anything is overpowered you run through encounters too quickly. There' many more where those came from! Thank you for asking though.
ReplyDeleteThis game looks interesting but i am confused on the level description of 8+. Does this mean just 8 or actually 8+ in which, what is the maximum level?
ReplyDeleteEighth is the minimum. There are 8 PCs so maybe 10-11th tops. That's some party mojo. There are save or die things so having a cleric can cast Raise Dead is useful.
