Records for our Psychedelic Deadlands / Dreamer of Dreams Campaign played first using a modified version of the Advanced Labyrinth Lord retro-clone hybrid of B/X and AD&D (Download free no-art version of rules), then in May 2024 switching to 2014 5th edition rules of the World's Most Popular Role Playing Game, and finally beginning in November 2024, as core books were released for the 2024 revision, switching to our current rules 5.5e.

Initially DMed solo by yours truly, the Deadlands at first were just that - a setting whose only inhabitants were machines and the undead. After a half-dozen games we changed to a shared-world structure with myself continuing to DM characters in the Deadlands, and veteran DM Dr. John PhD taking PCs into another, more earthy than metaphysical, campaign where adventurers maintained their memories while inhabiting different roles and classes in the multiverse.
We now rotate back and forth every 3 games or so, as the party tries to decide which is right
and which is an illusion....
